Oregon Shakespeare Festival

For more than 30 years, Adroit Construction has provided general contracting services in support of Ashland’s iconic Oregon Shakespeare Festival. Our work is often times behind the scenes as we work to improve the infrastructure, accessibility, and customer experience for play-goers. Adroit has completed projects across most of the company’s theatre venues including the Black Swan, Bowmer, and Elizabethan, as well as its Rehearsal Center and Scene Production Shop.
Plaza East
Completed in 2020, Adroit constructed Plaza East – a multi-family housing development designed to serve Oregon Shakespeare Festival’s workforce. Located on Lithia Way just two blocks from the organization’s theatre complex in downtown Ashland it includes 34 residential units and more than 6,000 sf of mixed-use commercial space at the street level, suitable for offices and other retail uses.
Scene Shop
OSF approached Adroit Construction early in the Spring of 2013 about building a large, multi-purpose space to replace their current scene production/construction facility. The new building would house all elements of scene production for the organization, including fabrication, painting, and prop storage. We listened to OSF’s needs and worked within the design-build delivery method to provide them a new state-of-the-art facility. Completed in 2014, the project features an acre+ of metal building under one roof, this massive 72,000 sf, one-of-a-kind facility is poised to serve OSF for years to come. Adroit crews self-performed all of the concrete, and metal building erection work for this exciting project.
